Castertech Fundição e Tecnologia, which belongs to Randon Companies, announced the acquisition of CNCS Tecnologia em Usinagem Ltda., based in Caxias do Sul (RS). This new expansion move by the company, in the amount of BRL 21.5 million, will allow for the expansion of production capacity in machining processes, while strengthening the company's position in the agricultural segment.

“This acquisition is another step in the company's expansion plan, in alignment with its strategic business plan. With this new unit, we expanded our client portfolio, which currently focuses on major truck, bus and semi-trailer manufacturers, now including manufacturers of agricultural machines and implements”, reinforces Eduardo Dalla Nora, Director of Suspension and Wheel End Systems at Randon Companies.

With this move, Castertech will increase its revenue by BRL 27 million and its machining capacity by 35%. The company is located in the Cristo Redentor neighborhood, in Caxias do Sul, and its technology is up-to-date. The approximately 100 employees who already work at the plant will be integrated into the Castertech team.

Specialized in cast and machined suspension and wheel end systems, Castertech has a history of accelerated and sustainable growth. Recently, it expanded its national operations with a new plant in Indaiatuba, in the São Paulo State countryside, and aims for an even greater increase in production capacity as well as projection in the export market in the coming years.

“Castertech has been making advances and consolidating itself as a company that offers comprehensive solutions with regard to cast and machined systems, meeting the needs and opportunities of the market. These expansion moves guarantee a production capacity deemed suitable for demands and with strategic logistical positions”, highlights Sergio L. Carvalho, Executive Vice President and COO at Randon Companies.

In operation since 2009 and headquartered in Caxias do Sul, Castertech first emerged to meet the internal needs of Randon Companies. Nowadays, the company supplies its products to truck, bus, semi-trailer and automotive system manufacturers in the agricultural segment and the spare parts market.
