Randon Tech Solutions announces acquisition of automation company

With a transaction totaling BRL 14 million, Auttom is now part of Randon Companies' unit dedicated to innovation in industrial processes

Randon Tech Solutions - RTS Industry, a unit dedicated to automation development and acceleration at Randon Companies, announces its first moves in the market. RTS Industry, created in October 2020, will acquire Auttom, a company based in Caxias do Sul (RS), which operates in the segment of technological solutions in automation and industrial robotics. With a transaction totaling BRL 14 million, the company is expected to take over operations in the first quarter of 2021.

This strategy aims at complementing and expanding RTS Industry's connections with cutting edge technologies, constantly improved and enhanced in the automation market. Furthermore, it aims at consolidating the company's performance and services for external customers, that is, for other companies operating in the market.

“In just four months, Randon Tech Solutions - RTS Industry has already shown its potential for growth as well as for new business possibilities. Our main goal with this move is to accelerate the industrial transformation process of both Randon Companies and RTS Industry, as well as to expand their business with new automation solutions for the Brazilian industrial segment”, reinforces Sergio L. Oak, Executive Vice President and COO of Randon Companies. This acquisition, which comprises 80% of Auttom, and only with regard to the company's automation division, will entail the permanence of the two current partners of the company, with a minority stake.

Founded in 1997, Auttom operates in several segments, providing solutions in robotic cells, customized electrical panels, machine safety and telemetry. The company, which has established international partnerships with renowned companies, is recognized for the quality of the projects it develops, the innovation of its products and its technological solutions.

“This acquisition is extremely important to give even more robustness to processes involving smart manufacturing concepts, one of our main focuses in recent years, and it also allows for continuous technological updates, which are necessary for these actions”, explains Bernardo Bregoli Soares, Director of Operational Excellence at Randon Companies. Auttom will maintain its team of collaborators and its headquarters in the same location, that is, Caxias do Sul.
